T2 has crashed my PC several times now

I am playing with T2 and switching in inputs and outputs etc. Three times in the last hour it has totally crashed my machine.
In the Windows Task Manager it shows up as a non-responsive application. So I click end task and it goes away. But if I look at the Processes window, tracktion.exe is still running as a process. I try to end process, and it won't. I have to completely power down. If I don't totally shut down then trying to re-open tracktion does nothing...
System - P4 2.4mhz, Abit IS7 MB, 1g ram, running XP service pack1. Maudio FW410 audio input box with latest asio drivers.
Although T1 very occasionaly hung up on me it was more like once a month, not 3 times in an hour.
Any ideas anyone??

eeek!
no, fraid not.
I'm assuming it only does it when you are messign around with the inputs, right? If so, does the log file tell you anything interesting?

A wild guess about the possible cause of bear's problem: Have you checked "use ASIO Direct Mode" on the settings / audio devices page? If this is switched on, it is much more easy for broken VSTs to tear down Tracktion. Perhaps you have this "Off" in T1 but "On" in T2?

No, I have real time priority and direct mode both turned off.
The setup I am playing with is simple, no VSTs, just two tracks attached to two inputs with a calibrated -6db sine wave coming in. Just normal tracktion pan/vol filter and meter filter on each track.
Then I am screwing with EtoE and setting inputs as mono and stereo and turning on and off big meter display. I have not found any consistant action that causes problems yet, but I am trying to reproduce....
