As a old CUBASE user I find it difficult to do a track invert. What now, mabe I'm stupid or stoned.

Same here. Both actually. One being the causality of the other.

WTF is track invert?
The only thing I can think of is inverted phase, or perhaps backwards?????

If it's phase invert, take a closer look at an EQ filter.

yeah plonk an EQ filter on the track, and click the 'invert' button on it.

they can swap channels, but not invert the phase

Go to the project page.
Chose the sample you want to "invert".
The sample will show in the bottom panel.
Choose edit sample.
In the edit dialog box there is a dropdown menu.
Choose reverse.
