It's "really" close to the full version. We put everything we could fit of RMIV on a single CD. There were a few kits we could not include due to the agreements that LinPlug had with their authors. I beleive there are a few hundred less MIDI loops and a handful of kits in the full RMIV version that are not in the T2 version.koolkeys wrote:Just letting you know what is with it. It seems to be the full version to me. Of course, that counts sampled and synthesized kits.

Yes, but the MIDI loops are ones that are not included in the original RMIV, made just for T2. There's about 1000, and Peter said that they are working on a deal with you guys about a very attractive upgrade to the full version.
Thanks again!

If the midi loops were made for Tracktion that is an important addition! Because the midi loops that are included with RMIV don't necessarily conform to the drum maps in other DAWs, requiring some work on the users part to move the notes around, say in Live or Logic... Having them mapped to the kits is really nice! I already own RMIV, but that info makes it even more interesting for me, since I have an NFR and will have to buy the boxed version!!

I know that the drum kits included are DEFINATELY not in GM format. I haven't messed with the loops really yet to see if the loops actually play in GM. I will do that tonight if possible and let you know in this thread.

Just so you guys know.....
None of the Manytone Drum Package is in this RMIV Tracktion Version. (Though they are in the Full RMIV) They are available seperately through Manytone or as an Upgrade through Linplug.
The ManyTone Drums are as follows:
6 - 24 bit MultiSampled Acoustic Kits which include 15 snares
1 - 24 bit Large Multisampled Percussion Kit
2 - 24 bit Tweaked Kits
12 - 24 bit Sampled Electronic Kits
We sell this Package for $35.00 on our Website. (Well it is $35.00 for the Acoustics and we are presently throwing in the Electric Pack for free)
It is all Mapped GM and ready to Load into RMIV. Even the Electronic kits are as GM Mapped as Possible.
Thanks
Paul

Thanks for that info. I do use DR-008, so it's not like I'm lacking for kits, but if I were interested in those kits, which I kind of am, are all the kits mapped to GM standard? I ask because the majority of the RMIV kits I tried were not, and I'm very used to GM. Thanks Paul.

Hi
Yes they are mapped as GM as Possible ... In the case of a few samples we had to stray from GM ... Like in this Case ... In the perc kit we may have a few Cowbells ...so they are mapped on the Proper GM note and also surrounding it. Likewise with the Bongos ... there are 2 sets so one set is on the proper Mapped keys ... the other set is mapped surrounding it.
But the Straight up Acoustics are Mapped as GM as Possible with a few slight variations for extras.

Cool, thanks! I'm always looking for some good drum kits, even though I already have many with DR-008, which to me is the best drum sampler/synth anywhere, and with 3GB of kits, it's great. But you never know when you will need "that" sound. So the more kits, the better.
