Hey,
Many many times when I do step mode, it somehow locks in notes that I was playing before, not sure exactly how to explain it, besides when I practice and then switch into step mode, and press a note, tons of notes suddenly pop in when i input one note.

I've never managed to get anything like this to happen either.
The multiple note insert sounds like cached/stuck notes similar to the effect you can get when moving a MIDI input device between tracks whilst playing. I'm guessing for some reason a bunch of note-offs aren't getting processed.
Are you doing *anything* else whilst using step -record that may be relevant here, Ron?

i gotta say that it's happened to me before, and i wasn't doing anything particularly special. when i'd hit the step record button and played a note a whole stack of - i presumed recently played - notes appeared in a single step.
i'm a little (waaayy) busy at the moment so can't try to recreate it, but i will when i get some time later on.

Kick, punch, it's all in the mind.

been playing around here ... cant get it to happen either ...
... i reckon we need more setup details and a more precise step-by-step account (or as was said a few screenshots ron) before we can narrow this down any more ...

hey man i just set it out there keep testing and trying. its broke. Okay like try playing the song and play over it, to practice or something. then stop it, change to step mode, then try pressing a note. it should do it i guess, im kind of out of it just got home from work to test it atm, but it does happen , it happened more than often. Try also mousing some notes and then playing along then stopping and going to step and playing a note

ron ...
... no offence but i (like others who have responded here) am a T2 betatester ... we KNOW how to look for these things ... believe me ... after about 1/2 hour solid of TRYING to get it to happen with various permutations and approaches i cannot YET reproduce this issue here ...
... thats not to say it isnt happening though ... but to track this down we NEED more specific information than ... play some notes ... switch step on ... play a note ...
... not being funny ... trying to help you know ???

ron, WTF are you on about? man people are trying to seriously help you.. and some of you wonder why ppl get irritated with Ron!
and if you were a beta tester.. at least you'd know where to report the problem.. and you'd already know that it requires a replicatable procedure. You can be so wack at times...
