i am on OSX T2

Ok
The output from a mono plug is only on the left channel.
The volume & pan filter brings it back to left and right. Is this normal? I have to put a v&p filter in front of the send?

uiui bad english

Yes, a vol/pan filter wil turn a mono signal into stereo (both channels being the same though).. otherwise it couldn't pan it.

Why are you sending a vocal to a compressor with an aux send though? Wouldn't it work better as an insert?

Post

The compressor is an insert
the send is a Reverb.
Is there a dokumentation how (mono)signals ar routet in Tracktion?

Post

Got you. Mono signals take care of themselves usually.. they stay mono until they reach a plug whith two outputs..

can you describe the noise you get?

behind the mono plug is the send that goes to the aux bus with a reverb.
now play the Song and switch to settings and back to edit.

I've never come across that myself, but I tend to use racks instead of the dedicated sends.. I'll have a play around and try to reproduce it, but I use a PC so I may not be much help.

More questions: does this happen in just one edit, or in several? Is there anything else going on in your edit that mught be causing it? If you try deleting everything except the vocal track and the reverb return does it still happen? (Make sure you don't save over your work if you try that though!)

Could it be feedback? Check that your routing is all ok.. maybe the reverb return track is routed back to an input feeding the vocal track?

Post

Just a thought, but have you tried adjusting your soundscard's latency? Maybe the sends are causing things to glitch (no PDC in sends, I think). Talking out my ass as usually, but give it a try anyway.
If you have requests for Korg VST features or changes, they are listening at https://support.korguser.net/hc/en-us/requests/new

No, routing is ok.
I set up a new edit like you said but same problem.
If testet it with my racksend no problem.

Aha! Reproduced it! Yes I think it is a bug.. however it didn't happen until I put the send filter before the Vol/Pan for that track as you describe above. A more 'correct' way to do it would be to put the send after the tracks Vol/Pan (ie: a post-fade send) as this way the reverb level will also change when you adjust the track level. On my system the problem dissapears when the order is swapped like this..

<edit> I will report the bug of course: pre-fade sends have uses too.. ;)
