one suggestion: it uses the left audio input(i assume?) and still outputs the right one. thats a bit annyoing when using stereochannels. could you disable it? :)

Well, looks promising but is not usable,at least for me,high cpu load, higher when switching fx/eq,slowed down my Intel PIV 2GHz XP Pro machine with SX 2.2 and obscure gui.

I like Chimp and have used but this,no can do. :-o

Maybe the next one.

Thanks anyway for the hard work :D

No problems downloading here

No problems here, downloading, installing or playing. A nice piece of software; thanks a lot :D
Eventually something intelligent will appear written here. Watch this space.

I already mentioned that this gives me the sounds I tried to make (and I was not successful in getting the specific sound I wanted with the JCM900 plug and other free amp sims). In addition, I am impressed by what is written in the "about" page (the "kindness has to start somewhere" part that you can read in there).
Really a nice piece of software, congratulations. :-)

thank you so much!

peace!

I'm just getting nasty cpu spikes when switching pedals and eq,and have to pan left my input channel to get rid of the clean signal but this is the BEST free anp so far!

Congrats and THANKS again

Hmmm, I'm getting 100% cpu spikes/lockups just loading it in FLS, and thats with no vsti loaded. P4 2.0, 1gb ram, XP SP2.

Works great here in Orion Platinum V6, sounds cool too. CPU is high, but no big deal. Good work mate ;)

Hello All

Thanks for the nice comments, helps to push me even further :)
For the CPU spike problems when changing controls, Sorry  this got a little out of hand in its size and features :D
Part of it could be the way SE puts modules to sleep?
When you change a circut the new one starts to use CPU instant, but the turned off circut take a few seconds to completely go to sleep.
If its uses way too much CPU please try the supplied Low CPU bank, allbut with some loss of high frequency content. it will drop CPU use quite large.

Again Thanks and please Enjoy!

thanks for a very clever Amp Sim, definitely usable, sounds really good... :D

I have noticed that on some presets (e.g. Ether using "smooth" Amp)when I am not playing a note CPU goes to 100%, during playing CPU drops to ~70% :!: , now if I stop playing CPU shoots back to 100%, also get some crackling during guitar sustain level lower than approx 30% on this preset :?:

Hmmm, on closer inspection, the cpu spikes aren't that bad. Still a bit cpu heavy, even with the low cpu bank, but this is really very nice indeed :D Thanks for this FrettedSynth.

Just gave it a quick testdrive, sounds really good :D
cpu usage is pretty high, but on my athlon its about the same as Cortex in high quality mode.
Excellent work 8)

Thanks a lot for sharing!

>Afternote: I see that like most SE devs, you're using the SoftDist module. It's a good one, certainly, but to my ears, it doesn't go far enough in simulating an overdriven tube; maybe it's just too symmetrical or too static. Finding an even better tube module would totally push this gem over the edge!

The Softdist is used in only one overdrive circuit,
and two of the amp circuits. Would be very curious
to see if you could pick them out. (I truely mean this serious)?

What CPU are you using? I will for sure have a look.

Thanks for this - it's excellent.

Ok, so the CPU usage is high, but worth it.

Thanks again!
