OK - having come down off my high horse re: the whole handling of non-US pricing/rebates and what not I'm going to buy T2 online upgrade and Jamstix (just grabbed Jamstix while it is discounted).
I note that a few people got caught out losing plugins / edits so is there a clearly 'best' way to go about this?
I was going to:
Move all plugs out of T1 directories to a central VST folder
Move edits/folders out of T1 directories
Install T2 and activate
Uninstall T1
Any potholes there ?

Back-up edits/folders (zip them to some other location).
Don't move edits/folders, simply assign them to T2 once installed.
No need to uninstall T1, leave it and use its presets in T2.

save your user settings and short cut keys in a safe place.
good luck with uninstalling T1 after installing T2, that order backfired with me.
