Exactly. Using an external keyboard & mouse + midi, and having the screen of the laptop closed, but having the image in 2 external monitors.

For the G550 users: does that card work with video overlay on both monitors? I've had major performance issues when using multi-monitor with Media Player Classic on my Radeon 9000, so I'm just wondering if Matrox is any better in this regard.

I've an old matrox G400 at home that's never let me down. Only 32Mb but everything runs fine DAW wise. Dirt cheap off ebay.
My Dell at work has a G550 and was a pig to install at first until the Mobo BIOS was updated... Works fine too though one or two apps (like Realplayer I think...) misbehave - video doesn't appear if the window is on the second display, drag it back to the primary screen and everything's fine.

I've had no or few problems with video on both monitors. Any time I've had an issue, it's turned out to be resolution-related.
