Registerted, paid-for T1.6 owners should be allowed bug fixes too.

Bug fixes are by nature a company doing the decent thing by putting right a fault in their product, rather than doing their customers a real favour as such!

they do, it's called T2.. and it's $20 bucks no matter where you are.

*edit: ignore that... I am making a conscious decission to avoid these kinda topics from now on because they are making me very reactionary...*

Yeah, I'd have to say that's pretty reasonable for any T1 user still interested in Tracktion. $20 is nearly nothing, and you get all the improvements in T2.

But I do agree that the lack of a clear message from Mackie regarding this does lead to speculation and bitching. Of course the upgrade path to T3 is far away and I doubt there is any official policy in place yet.

that's what I want to know

I wouldn't call it a huge mistake, but it's the same point

Ron, really you should rest safe. You either pay now or pay later (if we aren't going to be considered the same at upgrade time).

This isn't the sort of thing you should lose sleep over IMO, or a huge mistake. Unprotected sex with a crack whore is a huge mistake. Best to keep things in perspective.

I think he was making a general statement, so you don't really need to start reacting now do you?

It's a ridiculous concern. Imagine the world if we catered to every paranoid neurotic little concern. We'd be a world full of freakin' Woody Allens, and nobody wants that.

Indeed. Or people with too much time to post on forums and comment on those concerns ;)

LM, I think that most of these threads have been started by different people each time. The present one was started by someone claiming they have been "out of the loop". The problem is that in answering the original question in the threads, discussion often ends up going over the same ground. I think we're all bored of it, actually!

Let's talk about the best movies we've seen this year instead... 8)

I dunno - haven't seen anything that great so far. I still need to go and see HHG though. It looks like it'll be entertaining at least.
Someone shot the food. Remember: don't shoot food!

HHG is much better than I expected. And I much prefered it to the telly series. Worth going to. ALthough the effects are obviously sota, it doesn't detract from the cosy humour of the whole thing 8)

OK, who's next?

Is it my imagination, or do T people spend more time than any other DAW owners, "contemplating the universe"... and there existence in it?? Geez, just use the damn program and get a life! I watched the "when will T2 be out" discussions for seems like years... Now it's out and, DOH! more discussions... I jus paid for the boxed version, because it's the only deal I had... Could I have possibly stumbled into a better deal than the upgraders :-o Who cares! $130. won't even buy you a single synth these days!! And...

I promise to not say anything about upgrades, for at least 6 months! :hihi:

HGG: My wife accurately called it a "seven dollar nap."

I just saw 'After Sunset' last night. Pretty good flick. I want to see the first one 'Before Sunset' now. The main characters were also in Waking Life, which was great.
