You are welcome, it is the least I can do for you creating such a wonderful free Amp Sim :)

Off topic, but I really like your site asseca :)
Very great EnergyXT tutorial :!:

>It is not really a problem to me, it is only this one preset that I have problems with...just thought it would be handy for you to know.

Hello asseca
If you could Please:
Try preset 8 Opera, let me know if it has the spikes.
If not go back to 64 Ether, and change the speaker to grey.
Let me know if that helps?
If not reset 64 Ether, and turn the chorus on, anything yet?
If not try the delay set to a stereo type, 1 - 1/2 or something?
Please let me know if you could, as I would like to find the cause?

And thanks for the link :)

The Opera preset spikes to ~80% when playing chords and then drops to ~33% during silences...

The Ether preset (with Black speaker) spikes to ~55% when playing chords and then rises to ~100% during silences...

The Ether preset (with Gray speaker) spikes to ~52% when playing chords and then drops to ~50% during silences...

The Ether preset (with Black speaker and POST EQ instead of PRE EQ) spikes to ~52% when playing chords and then drops to ~30% during silences...

Switching on Chorus or changing the delay to stereo has no effect on the behaviour.

DUDE!! (or Dudette)

Your plug is excellent! In minutes I was getting some primo sounds out of it. Unlike other ampsims which I have fiddle with quite a bit just to get them to sound decent, I have to work to make yours sound bad.

Thanks so much!

This is really good, actually, the best guitar amp/fx I've tried! But sooo CPU hungry... Well, I guess i could get away with just solos ;)

My spies inform me that FrettedSynth wrote: >Afternote: I see that like most SE devs, you're using the SoftDist module. It's a good one, certainly, but to my ears, it doesn't go far enough in simulating an overdriven tube; maybe it's just too symmetrical or too static. Finding an even better tube module would totally push this gem over the edge!

The Softdist is used in only one overdrive circuit,
and two of the amp circuits. Would be very curious
to see if you could pick them out. (I truely mean this serious)?
Nah, I'm pretty sure I'll fail the test. I can usually tell the difference between, say, SoftDist and BadHead, but only in very controlled circumstances. I just get anal sometimes. Anyway, I don't mean to cast aspersions; this is a great plug, if a teensy hard on the CPU.
Wait... loot _then_ burn? D'oh!

Hi FrettedSynth,

I have now checked all the preset in the Default.fxb and Default_Low_CPU.fxb

Ether preset spikes to ~100% during silences. >> POST EQ instead of PRE EQ drops to ~30% during

silences...

Graffy preset spikes to ~90% during silences, but drops to 30% after ~6secs. >> POST EQ instead

of PRE EQ drops to ~30% during silences...

Typical preset behaves exactly the same as the Ether preset. >> POST EQ instead of PRE EQ

drops to ~30% during silences...

Compical preset behaves the same as the Ether preset, but drops to 20% after ~6secs. >>

POST EQ instead of PRE EQ drops to ~30% during silences...

Loud preset behaves exactly the same as the Ether preset. >> POST EQ instead of PRE EQ

drops to ~30% during silences...

Sty preset behaves nearly the same as the Ether preset, 90% instead of 100% during

silence. >> POST EQ instead of PRE EQ drops to ~30% during silences...

Ploy preset behaves nearly the same as the Ether preset, 80% instead of 100% during

silence.

Revitar v2 uses ~30% max. during playing chords, and drops to 2% during silences.
Vsampler v3.5 uses ~8% max. during playing chords, and drops to 2% during silences.

Both Revitar and Vsampler peaks to the same levels during silence on the 7 presets.
All 7 presets, when switching to POST EQ instead of PRE EQ drops to ~30% during silences...

I have also checked all presets in the jeffs bank.fxb, all presets behave OK...

Very great EnergyXT tutorial :!:
Thanks, but DarkStar wrote all the contents for the 3 energyXT Guides, I only did the web-site and compilation from source to WEB, CHM and PDF...

played with this a bit today...very nice. i ran string thing thru it and i ran a clean slayer2 thru it. good tone, nice smooth sound. i like the way the auto wahwah works in this plug better than any others i've seen. thanks alot. :D
i'd rather have a mullet than a comb-over.
fortunately, i have neither.

I'm not really getting any performance issues. This thing sounds great! Loading two of them up, hard panning them both, and having desimilar patches ... sounds PHAT!

Very good work, very good indeed.
