Selling T2 and keeping T1

Anyone who doesn't see $20 worth of improvements in T2, or who can produce convoluted logic like that shot down in the two above posts, must be operating under one and only one principle:

You must be drunk.

Or stoned, I guess. That makes 2. My mistake. ;)

I'm guessing crack. Just put down the pipe and walk away!

I could see if you spent more than $20 to upgrade you may have some reason to gripe, but given the small amount and the weak arguments you've put forth, I'm apt to agree you are either high or stupid  And I'm a huge supporter of dissenting voices, as most here could confirm.

Besides the fact that you had a month to play with the demo before buying the upgrade!

OK......
Now let's go back to your first post....

So, T1 doesn't work on your Mac, but T1 still works great? What part of this thread did I miss that would somehow make sense of these two statements.

I'm taking a wild guess and thinking that you can go back to using T1, but only on a PC - not on your Mac? Or, it worked on your Mac before you installed Linux? What are you running T2 on then?
English is not my first language and I know that this logic is not right at all.

I own a p4 system that I run tracktion on. Tracktion doesnt run on my mac at all obviously.

Ok, the software not working is a minor gripe.

My apologies, please let the rest of the software world know about this new concept.

To be clear again, tracktion 2 barely even moves on the screen for some reason. Screen updates come once every second almost! Something is very wrong.

dsp - that is not the normal behavior of T2 - something is wrong I suspect with your system.

One of the big frustrations of software.

You get some things, but you suffer for them sometimes. :hihi:

I'm just surprised that you didn't get irritated enough by the T2 demo that you didn't avoid buying it.

Good luck getting things to work better!

Yes! That is right, but people insisted that I am just crazy instead so I decided I may as well try to sell the program that doesnt work.

If someone here buys something that doesnt work, and is told, ok ok ok it will be fixed soon we think. You dont become upset! I see many people who complain when they receive a product that does not work as advertised.

I havent even been told it would be fixed or acknolwedged by support, this forum is the right place to report problems yes?

Yea, that's weird. I've had problems (the infamous ReWire bug with no ReWire running being the most annoying I've experienced so far) but that's ridiculous.

Maybe you should call Mackie tech support.

Yes, as people have already mentioned. Your system is the culprit, not the software. Would we all be talking about it and using it the way we are if it was cripplingly slow? Software developers can't make the code fit every single system. It's also the consumer's responsibility (and the hardware companies involved) to fix 'broken' systems. You can't blame it all on the software, as you seem to be doing.

The logic regarding the Mac WAS sound, *IF* we take it as a premise that you want to use T1 on your Mac. If T1 works on your Mac, T2 will, too. So, it's just that you didn't clarify that either way you're not going to use your Mac. You made it sound like using T1 you'd be able to continue using your Mac, also.

Once a second screen updates suggests that there is something very wrong. However, I've yet to read of a similar occurrence with any other user. This would suggest that it is your PC causing the problem. Why T1 would work fine though is somewhat confusing. Only for that I would have suggested updating your video card drivers.
Sorry, I can't offer any help there.

I tried the demo on someone else's computer who I make music with often. He uses same interface and same plugins so I think there'd be no problem.

It seems tracktion 2 just doesnt like my system. I dont like installing demo's on my new workstation. I can not see why this is hard to understand at all.

Well, at least you're now realising that its your system and not T2 :-)
