i know i'm not titling it correctly but i can't remember who made it or what its actualy called. think it came out in the eighties.

Yeh, great song and quite true lyrics too (like money for nothing).
I used to play this song in our set quite a few years ago when I played with my band in a disco twice a week. I used to sing the song too, quite a job !

FWIW The Buggles were Trevor Horn (who went on to produce Frankie Goes to Hollywood and many other eighties chart topping beat combos) and Jeff Downes (who went off to play keyboards in Asia (the band, not the continent) and Yes (but maybe not in that order).
Personally I still think they were better as the Buggles

Kind of: he played on it. I don't think it's true that he wrote it all himself or anything.
