Exporting for Live (was Punch inout recorded audio question)

Despite using tracktion for a goodlongwhile already, i used the punch in out record functions for the first time just now to re-record the master mix output from my soundcard back into tracktion (i have to use this re-record workaround because of Ts bug when rendering sped up clips, which i use alot).
i open up the newly recorded audio in soundforge but i notice that a longer sequence had been recorded that i had defined with the in/out markers in tracktion (starting before, and ending after, the marker positions).
is there a way to specify 'no audio handles' when recording this way so that the recorded audio is just the section between the in/out markers?
thanks

Just render the newly recorded clip and it will make a version without the handles..

thanks for the reply sq
.. so to record a clip without handles i have to first record the section i want with punch in/out.. and after that render the new clip ('render selected clips')?
i hope theres a quicker way (i planned to do this alot) and thats already more steps than i care for

Just tried it in T2 with the same result.. is there really no way to alter Ts behaviour here? i need the files to be exactly the same length as the punch in/out section i marked.

depending on the passage rendering may not be an option - esp with very dynamic acoustic passages etc. - as Tracktion has a problem with rendered files does it not?

tracktion has two problems with rendering files afaik.
I think its a strange behaviour that extra space before and after the punch markers is recorded (rendering shouldnt be necessary).

So i'm now preparing a live show and am just about to export bits of audio from tracktion to use as phrases in live.
Of course i'd lke them to be exported at the correct length to save me having to edit the length of each one when they arrive in live..
It doesnt look like i'll be able to do this because of the aforementioned problem with the extra audio handles that get added when i use punch in/out to bounce sections to audio in tracktion (and using tracktion's offline rendering isn't an option because of the pitched clips bug)
very frustrating
