Mackie site has a list of international distributors. Following the link for Spain takes you to this website, quick search for Tracktion brings back (not much) info, but it does have a price ...

I already saw that and was kind of dissapointed when I called and they do not sell to the public.
I called the local Mackie seller and he told me he still had no info on T2 so I sent him over to the site.
I haven´t called back yet, but the price shown in the site is without VAT.
The total price from the distributor would be 220 $ (150€ + VAT [ hopefully we won´t get a higher tha 16% VAT] ) and we are not still counting shipping (depending on where you buy it) and/or if the final shop decides to add a bit to the price (common practice among retailers here)
I will wait until the whole Hype dies down and maybe for T2.1 or whatever. I just bought Podium and I am busy using it right now so I have no hurry anymore.
Thanks for the post though
:)

Thanks for the tip. These guys are only distributors - and they knew nothing about T2 when I originally approached them (a couple of weeks ago). The price is approximate to the USA MSRP, so we can't really complain about that, although that's not taking into account what the retailers will add (and they will!).

The price shown must include both international shipping and import dutiy, etc. Germ's comment about shipping is, I presume, internal. This really shouldn't impact much on the price. I regularly ship packages, which are both bigger and heavier than this one, to anywhere in Spain (except the Canarias) for about €8 a pop via MRW (a Spanish courier company).

In fact, I have my copy of T2 winging its way from the 'states as I write, but thanks for the tip - it's nice to know that someone is looking out for our interests here.

How much did you get charged for it in cluding Shipping?

$150 plus the postage - I got a friend to buy me a copy.

Good deal.
I have a friend who offered to do the same, but I am still going to wait a while. I`m not in a hurry anymore.

If you have a friend over there, it's still going to be your cheapest option. I guess the selling price here is going to around the equivalent of $250+ - and I see the euro is at parity with the dollar again, isn't that where we started off three years ago :) ?

I know the EU is trying to keep a better equilibrium point with the Dollar now as our exports have suffered, but I doubt it will last.
Actually I still think T2 is somehow worth it but I will wait and see how things develop. I might even go to the USA early next year and get it myself while there.Meanwhile I am having a blast learning how to use Energy XT and Podium :D
Later.

Hi from Spain,

Past saturday I ask to my "local shop" about T2, and the only thing they can do is to call today to Letusa, because T2 it's in the product portfolio sent 2 weeks ago.
The description is exactly the same of the web page, so I don't know if they are going to sell it or not.

I will post their answer because they have to call me.

Cheers,

Nacho

Hi all,

I've been talking with them, and they say the price is 150 euros + IVA (spanish VAT), and that is going to be possible.

Let see if it's true...

Just what I was told. 220$ does not seem fair, but it`s the best option we have so far. But Letusa is the distributor. You have to call to one of the retail shops if I am not mistaken.
Have they told you if it is already available? I was told they had no idea when they were able to sell it.

We mustn't make the mistake of looking at the USA street price and thnking that's the right one.

The official MSRP is $200, so €220 is not really that far away when you take into account shipping, import duties, etc. In fact, I'd say that was a fair deal - especially as the exchange rate is now moving against us.

But it seems akward to have a non physical thing like a program that was developed in UK placed in a box and packaged in the USA to have it shipped over to Europe again and charging for customs. Doesn´t it?
I mean. I don´t care anymore really, but it seems ironic how Mackie is treating the whole boxed-only thing. It is even more ironic to have an European project pay import taxes to be sold in the country where it was developed :hihi:

That's the other side of the 'global economy' coin. One has to take the good with the bad.
