ahhh.. didn't realise that Live 4.0 was available as either.
Cool, I know that when 5 comes out i'll likely get a box, I'm trying to build up my collection of pretty boxes.

You could always make yourself a really nice one. In fact make one, with replaceable panels on so that you can 'reskin' it to match whatever ext skin your using for the day, or even to match your curtains.M'Snah wrote:Since the thread was hijacked already:

OT: Joking aside, I bought Live 2.0 as a box and did everything online since then. I partly regret not getting the boxed 4.0, because it only cost an additional $30 from the download (erm... spot the difference, Mackie
Now that you've fixed on Ableton Live as your sequencer and spent your T2 reserve money on it, did you get the box or simply a license transfer? If you've not got the box, I do recommend it for v.5.0 when it appears later in the year.
Also as a newbie to Live I recommend the book Ableton Live 4 Power by Dave Hill and Chad Carrier. Very helpful read

I got the licence transfer & the dude in question (JoeSchmoe)is also sending me the boxed versions.
Like I said I like the pretty boxes (they look nice all lined up on the shelf above my P.C.).
Plus a printed manual is good for bedtime reading, reagrding the power book - a lot of people have recommended that so I believe I may have to snag it.
