Can I get the audio to go through a limiter(BuzMaxi3)

You need to re-think the way computer recording works. :D ALL effects that are applied within your host will come before the recording, even if the software makes it look like they don't. Tracktion actually takes what's going on and puts it in the proper order, instead of using visual trickery to make people think that the effects come before the audio. So, to answer your question:

1. You cannot, no matter what, use a software limiter to control your audio going into the host. You MUST set proper levels and not clip the audio as it enters your computer. Only a hardware limiter will help prevent this kind of clipping. Luckily, there's so much "headroom" in digital audio that you can set very safe levels and still have a 'hot' enough signal to work with, unlike entry-level analog in which you have to set good levels to begin with.

2. If you want the limiter on your track, just drag it into the normal place where you'd put effects.

3. If you want the limiter on your main mix, you must drag it to the master area, which is where the main volume and meters are in the bottom right of your screen.

Just to re-emphasize, and I'm sorry if it's getting annoying-- no matter what host you use, a software limiter cannot act the same way as a hardware limiter, taming the signal before it enters your computer via the soundcard.
