he...I've been having endless probs with my system...seems top work now tho! (after 4 returns to the place where I bought it) can't help feeling that as parts get cheaper, so does the quality testing...

the 2 Ibm HDs I've got (20 &100gb) are from the old processor, they'll gonna crack, somewhere near september...wanna bet? I'll discover the joys of new SATA HDs sooner than we expect
snooky, the very same fear made me choose an asus & made me avoid maxtors. too bad I went cheap on the case and it's nice & small, but taking a simple cdrom away from it is a nighmare. it'a GAzelle one, if you wanna keep out of nervous breakdowns.
also, keep out from wireless optical mice from Trust.
There was a dowhippy article that had said for daw's the seagate barricuda (I'm not saying that cause I have one, I read it after) that is just ata100 is the best/most recommended hard drive.
