Ouch. :-( At least now you've got a big safety margin.

he...I've been having endless probs with my system...seems top work now tho! (after 4 returns to the place where I bought it) can't help feeling that as parts get cheaper, so does the quality testing...

oh no, Meffy.
the 2 Ibm HDs I've got (20 &100gb) are from the old processor, they'll gonna crack, somewhere near september...wanna bet? :P I'll discover the joys of new SATA HDs sooner than we expect :hihi:

snooky, the very same fear made me choose an asus & made me avoid maxtors. too bad I went cheap on the case and it's nice & small, but taking a simple cdrom away from it is a nighmare. it'a GAzelle one, if you wanna keep out of nervous breakdowns.

also, keep out from wireless optical mice from Trust.

arising thought.
my 20+100Gb HDs are a perfect match now.
can't think of a better Os(20) & sound data(100) positioning.

what will it be since little HDs have almost disappeared from commerce?

A new big (160 for example), partitioned Sata will be better than 2 Atas?

Post

reading some stuff around, Satas are not that much powerful than other HDs, a part from some buffer options. btw, I'll have tons of wasted space :?

There was a dowhippy article that had said for daw's the seagate barricuda (I'm not saying that cause I have one, I read it after) that is just ata100 is the best/most recommended hard drive.

Post
