I confess, I never did much with them, because back in the early days... the only drum machine I had was RMIV, and it crashed Ts racks every time! But no more!! Finally wired up one (and it didn't crash, woo hoo!) and I'm starting to think of "rack strategies" for these things... Like a chorus/EQ rack, and compressor/EQ rack etc. Pretty handy, and keeps the "right side" a little more manageable! So what the heck does everyone else do with em'... Is there some secret rack function I should be aware of?? Also, is everyone using send/returns?? I haven't had any problems so far, but someone else mentioned timing problems with multiple tracks going to a return??

Both of your uses for racks are good ones. I have one set up as a synth lead rack using two instances of Claw running in parallel, each with different settings. These go into Supaphaser and Blockfish, the result is chewy and cuts through as well: if you've ever heard Pink Grease ( they're like the New York Dolls with electronics ) it sounds a lot like their homebuilt synth.
Coffee please, black, no sugar.

Hmmm... so you can put multiple instances of plugs, synths etc. in there? Kind of like the combinator, in Reason 3, except there's no connection to control the parameters of items in the rack... Now that would be interesting! A control panel within the rack, that let you connect to rack paramters with a midi controller!

FR... :hihi:
