Good news, thanks. (I have a lot of q6 automation in a track I'm currently working on -- under time pressure -- but I know I won't be able to resist upgrading!)

Update:

SHEEESH... it's depressing how microscopic changes lead to maximum disasters  Nevertheless, all 3 plugins in all 3 flavours are fully operational and in testing now 8)

Cheers,

Well in those hours it may be the best to sit down for 3 minutes and read the review in this new german mag, Beat...and the picture is fun :D . Was surely taken after some microscopic change? People look at our hero, that's a nice review! I could even translate it for ya if you really wish (but it would take a while...)
"Konkurrenzlos" schreiben die, Mensch! Datt sollte dich doch freuen, selbst wenn du es schon weißt :D

By the way, I came to the conclusion (now listen, Einstein... :hihi: ) that with a better soundcard Filterscape sounds even better...
Ich glaube nach dieser Weisheit geh ich ein Bier trinken. Cheers Urs!

Hahahahahaha!!! Prost!

Well, yeah, that pic was made with my mobile phone. They promised to make it as small as a stamp, but no  - It's somehow weird that even developers nowadays need a set card. I have like 2 requests for a picture in a month. Isn't that disturbing?!? - I'll go to a photo studio right after my next hair cut. Damn.

Anyway, the review is great. Moogulator (the man who wrote the review) hates software synthesizers. Taking that into account, a rating of 9.5 is, uhm, outstanding 8)

;) Urs

The patch-loading is slow and tiresome
feels like going to the back of the synth just to change patch.

Of course, a plugin with a lot of parameters takes some time to change them all ;)

However, the patch loading is much faster in 1.1 - Only parameters that really change will be updated (less screen redraws), the held notes play on with the new settings (unless polyphony or playmode change) and preset up/down buttons make it easier to surf through the patches.

Any updates? Are the beta testers keeping you busy????

Just wondering.

Actually, I have a question that I am not sure about.

Is it, or would it be possible, to make the inner knob on the step EQ controllable by MIDI. I mean, how cool would it be to be able to make 8 snapshots of an EQ or Filter, and then map the inner knob to a MIDI controller and sweep through the 8 snapshots when and how you want. I am sure that that is probably too late to add to this installment, but I think it would rock.

Cheers,
Good luck Urs!

Uhm, anti-banausic, you can even assign ModWheel, Expression, PitchWheel or BreathControl to it, just like any other modulator... without needing to MidiLearn... 8)

(uhm... dunno about hosts that don't send Midi to effects... but that wouldn't help either way...)

Cheers,

;) Urs

P.S.: Beta team says everything's fine so far... just converting old Logic 7 automation tracks for VA seems to be hilarious. Looks like one's gotta bounce them to avoid major pain.

Post

Thanks, I haven't tried using LIVE's automation yet. I just got a UC33e and have been having too much fun assigning the memory to various synths using MIDIcc.

I will give it a shot later. Sorry to bother you. Sounds like progress is ever in the quickening.

Cheers.
Sorry for the dopey post.

Well, it looks like there's a good chance you'll have a certain email within two days anyway :)

improve preset loading, let the host handle it.

Err?

Logic can save and load internal presets fine using Filterscape.
Cubase can save and load internal presets fine using Filterscape.
Energy XT can save and load internal presets fine using Filterscape.

Where's the problem?
There are 3 kinds of people:
Those who can do maths and those who can't.
