Having just upgraded to 10.4.1, Tracktion just makes a horrendous distorted sound - not even the demo projects will run. Has anyone got it working OK with 10.4.1? (Interestingly, I can still export an audio file and it sounds fine!) Other music software such as garageband, iTunes is all working as normal so I presume its not a system issue.

Also the installed MDA plugins do not show in the list at all though they are definitely installed and not showing in the ignored list.

There have been problems with the MDA plugins not working in OSX... Also quite a few problems with 10.4! Did it work with 10.3.9?? I'm running with 10.3.9 and it's running o.k. Do the MDA plugins show up in the components folder?? Someone tried downloading them from MDA and installing, and they worked fine after reinstalling... Apparently, their working on the 10.4 issues :(

Thanks for the response - good to know it's not just my setup!

It all worked fine in 10.3.9. I think the mda plugins disappeared after the 10.4 install but tracktion itself still worked OK. After the 10.4.1 update I have the problems outlined in the first post - have tried reinstalling a copuple of times to no avail. The mda plugins appear to be present in the right places.

Who is working on the 10.4 issues - apple or mackie?

Beno has assured us it's being addressed. Apple changed stuff and didn't document the changes. Apple's fault. Rotten Apple!

As a rule, Apple provides developers with plenty of information during the development stage of every system... Which is certainly in their best interest. But "final specs" change often, to the point not everyone is going to make sure they're fully "Apple compliant" when that's a small part of their business... I'm not doing Tiger until I'm SURE everything works... My computer is my livlihood, so I can't afford to have it die unexpectedly

Oddly, all other audio software that I've tried on my computer with 10.4.* can open and read WAV-files...

All developers have access to any documentation they might need and several early builds of upcomming OS-releases. The rate of change in these diminish as the release approaches. The rate of change in T2 as we know it, has been zero since March.

My sense of it, I am sorry to say, is that Jules has a lot on his plate - he has been expanding and maintaining JUCE as well as working on at least one upcoming project which he describes as secret on his web-site. My guess is that there is less than one programmer maintaining T !!

I bought this from Mackie as a Mackie thing. If they need more, then bring in more.
