hey there, as a big fan of all your products, I was curious to know anymore details regarding the giveaway synth that was going to be on a yet unnamed computer music type magazine, what mag is it going to be appearing on, and for which month? Are you able to talk about it yet?
Any info is more info!

Urs wrote this in another thread:

Thank god I've got Filterscape though
I read somewhere though that Urs would be able to make Podolski available for public download about 6 months after the magazine releases...
Too bad for those of us without access to that magazine...

Yep, it's featured by German Keyboards Mag for 6 months, issues 7-12 I think... But don't expect too much, it's indeed very basic, just like 1000 others. Nevertheless it sounds pretty good and it's very cpu efficient.
However, if this goes well, I have something in spare for a UK based magazine
Cheers,
Urs

Oh... if you have Filterscape, FilterscapeVA 1.1 is gonna be fully compatible to Podolski. Thus, Podolski's 398 factory presets will be included with the 1.1 update of Filterscape

Urs

That sounds great Urs.
I've got some more presets in the making for FilterscapeVA - that synth really has potential! What's the estimated releasedate for the update/official release? Cant wait to play with the new filters...

Well, I ran into a lot of minor issues and had sorta loss of data on the PC (embarrassing story...) but all is pretty good now. I *hope* to have the release candidate finished by tomorrow. Customers will be notified for the download 1-2 days ahead of release, so they don't run into bandwidth problems...
I kept praying that it's *soon*, but now I won't give any statements anymore... the beta team is very cruel, they find new issues almost every hour - wich is good, but also a bit depressing
Cheers,
Urs

Urs, sorry about the beta team being cruel, but in the end it will make a fantastic product yet greater! So keep hope. But get Filterscape to us...soon....I am free of many obligations in about 8 days. Then I can devote to making music muc much more than right now.
Just kidding, take your time, drink some beers, make it perfect. You are one of the few who actually goes down that road for the rest of us.
Thanks!
Cheers,
AB

Thanks mayts!
I had quite good success today in importing Podolski's presets! The waveforms are a bit different, but I think that's okay for most of the patches. Some final tunings and then it's release candidate (uhm, unless certain people find ways to crash it, that is)
Cheers,
Urs

Oh, this just sounds too good to be true. Too good....(goes away muttering, hoping, holding head).
Please not too soon, I have some work to do in the next week you know? Not music related?

So is Podolski worth getting if I already have Filterscape?
If so, anyone know someone in the UK that sells Keyboards magazine?

It's not necessarily worth it. The 400+ presets in the "eco bank" in the Filterscape1.1 download are mostly identical with the Podolski factory set.
Podolski however has one advantage over FilterscapeVA: It's even easier to use

Urs
