First things first:

Clarity about wusikstation / wusik.com

Only if that fails we can reverse engineer the wusiksnd files and program something to dissect it... shouldn't be very hard though, not even with my novice skills at VBA in MS Office ;)

But if you really need / want to convert: as mentioned before, ESC and Awave can do that already.

These threads can be deleted all day long, but I think enough people today have had a clear insight into your real character. You made a fantastic instrument and then ruined it with endless pandering and blackmail. I totally regret the time & effort I spent in my 'friendship' with you. I looked the other way with the Reaktor ensembles that were made with a craked version of Reaktor & will not open in registered R3, I laughed conspiratorily with you when you sent me the code to Eve and download links for all the soundsets when you were no longer affiliated with Dash even as I hit the delete button..I said fine when you dropped the drum machine & decided to keep my money. I even kept my mouth shut in the first group buy thread when you made me look like a f**king idiot when you said that you didn't know what I was talking about regarding the modular FX plug you agreed to make..I sat in wonder at your private messages about how much you hate your customers & how you wish they would all just shut up..I've put up with alot of shit from you, and in hindsight I really have no idea why.

Just f**k off, William. I'm over it, sincerely so..

All that is true??? Jesus...this just gets better and better.
Yes, it's true, I have no reason to slanderize William; the truth as you can see is worse than something I could manufacture. I let all of this slide for months without saying anything. Today was the last straw. I am humiliated to have vocally supported him as I did in the past, and I feel people have a right to know these things. I do not bear William malice, I just wish he would get his shit together & stop predating on people's goodnaturedness.

I mean just look at the banner he made(which I privately argued with him about). You might think it's an amusing manipulation, but it's still a manipulation and offers much insight into the core values of his customers that he targets. When you get PM's from someone saying, "Hey buddy, I'm in serious trouble I need alot of money really fast", you'll help if you can, which I did. I've recieved SEVERAL of those in the past..It's not anyone's fault he is either living beyond his means or not properly subsidizing his own income. There's no way in hell I would count on selling VSTi as my bread & butter. This is why you keep seeing consistent & regular attempts to fleece the userbase. Money is needed, never enough is aquired, fast currency generation shemes one after another is plowed through, leaving a wake of very agitated people who have made more than monetary investments into false foundations. The money is not the point to me whatsoever; it's the fact that I'm seeing new suckers about to get laid over the fresh dirt of the old, and I'm just sick of seeing it. What I see here is agitants that were poised against people like myself and whyterabyt that tried to point out that something very much like what you are seeing today was coming to pass. I gave up when everyone stopped listening, now here we are again..

...and if he used Reaktor in a cracked version, the arguments against warez sound really strange to me.

I helped out only once as he wrote to us all and said he needed some 8000 Dollar or so and well, we had some fine instruments so that was quite okay. But getting to know he bashed his customers and all that is not. Thanks to whyterabbyt and Sickle666, as I am one of those who would think "uum I don't need Wusikstation have enough but well he's in trouble so..." and so on.

Ok, here's my final proposoal that could make this happen.

Those that preordered V1.2.0 get FREE too.
Those that preordered WusikMOD also get FREE.
I can't refund, sorry, I know it sucks, but I can't anymore, as after 60 days PayPal won't allow me to do that. Plus, there is no money, that's why I was selling Wusik at the first place, sight...

I still need to get some loyal users in, otherwise I will have to try and sell it.

Maybe I will make it a closed company, only the users that stick with me will get V2.0 ;-) Something like this?

I'm sorry that my ideas are not always the best, but remember, I was about to sell the company when several users asked me to stay and do a V2.0...

Because the thread at the Wusik.com forum was deleted, I need to repeat a couple of things.

First, I'd like to speak in my developer voice. I love Wusikstation, and I owe a lot to its community of users for making that format the biggest seller for Dangerous Bear. Our libraries will continue to be available to the extant, and hopefully future, user base. The content that has been under development for the projected dBu WusikEngine VSTi will be released as a library, or series of libraries. This is a great instrument, and no matter what else happens, there is a lot of music left in the synth as is. The WusikEngine synths remain a great undicovered country of new creative possibilities for sound design and musicianship. Dangerous Bear remains committed to meeting WE users' soundware needs.

Secondly, what the future holds remains to be seen, as this is a fluid situation. What we will develop in the future for Wusik 2.0 depends on what it does, whether it is backwards compatable for extant patches and soundsets and what userbase it gains. In other words, if it offers unique and important creative possibilities, it is something we may do if that's what our customers and potential customers want.

Now I'd just like to say personally that all I want is for everybody to get a fair deal on a good synth that is delivered as promised. I love the WusikEngine. I would like to see its continued development, whether under William's or new ownership. I remain hopeful that a solution can be found that will keep the instrument alive and restore public confidence in it as a commercial product.

It is not my place to pass judgement about another person's personal life, but it does not concur with my personal sense of business ethics to change a promise made in return for a customer's money unless it is physically impossible to keep the promise as originally made and not just inconvenient or a change of mind. It does not concur with my sense of business ethics to ask for further prepayment as part of changing such a promise. It does not concur with my sense of business ethics to charge those who have already paid more than those who have yet to do so.

All this said, I am not unsympathetic to the pressures that a sole proprieter can come under, and am in fact familiar with them. There may well be real problems going on about which we do not know, and which it is not our place to know if they are of a personal nature. There are however constructive and positive ways for a businessperson to go about seeking the support of their customer community, and there are ways of doing so that are less than amenable to the comity and welfare of that community and therefore less likely to be effective. Let all of us who love this instrument hope that the right path is found.

William, doing this for 1.2/ WusikMod preorders is a very good step in the right direction.

This has been an interesting thread. I'm a mac user, but I've followed the progress of wusikstation for some time now, because of how much people love its sound. I was secretly hoping that someday, it would be ported to the mac. But William, no matter how much someone loves a product, in the end, it's the company's character that comes under scrutiny. Look at Monster Cable. They make great products, but they use threats and extortion to keep their name in the spotlight. Anyone using the word "monster" in their product is liable to be sued. People hate Microsoft for unfairly and unethically undermining their competitors to maintain a market edge, and making overpriced bloatware. In your case, you happen to be screwing your customer base, which is by far, much worse. Your making empty promises to generate capital under the pretense of friendship is the worst thing I've seen yet. These people considered you a friend and obviously look up to you. Don't you get it? The cat's out of the bag now. You've shown your true colors. Sorry to see it...

Now you will repeat after me: "I John... take you Wusik... to be my responsibility... to love and keep up to date... for better and for worse (users)...". You may now go on and buy Wusik already! ... Please?

So why cant you just do a PayPal transfer to those people, then?

It'd be nice if WK would sell Wusik to someone with your business ethics.

This is a crazy idea

Why don't kvr users buy wusik.com and run it themselves ???

Get 100 Kvr users at $100-140 a pop ???

A company group buy

Or you buy shares ??????

yup thats what i suggested a few pages back... we could probably get 1000+ people to participate paying $10-$15 each and then open source wusikstation.

EDIT: actually i think it was in the deleted thread that i said this...
