Why don't kvr users buy wusik.com and run it themselves ???

Get 100 Kvr users at $100-140 a pop ???

A company group buy

Or you buy shares ??????
I could go for that, but the big problem would be who would make the decisions? Could you imagine 100 people agreeing on anything :hihi:
If someone puts together some sort of frame work for the direction and profile of this shareholders wusikstation company then I would certainly consider it.
I dont think it would come to that though, Im sure someone will buy it. If I was a coder I would snap it up myself at the price it was going for yesterday.

This is an even better idea though -

yup thats what i suggested a few pages back... we could probably get 1000+ people to participate paying $10-$15 each and then open source wusikstation

Having WS as an open source VST would be the true path forward: never have to worry about a businesses going away. If everyone had WS on their hardrive (and who wouldn't if it was free and updated by the community!), the soundsets would pop up like weeds. Just gotta find that guy that wrote Synth1 to take over as project leader...

yeah ... even if cakewalk have it covered there MUST be a competitor with the cash and foresight to grab it and integrate in their flagship sequencer ...

ableton ???
steinborg ???
mackie ???
sony ???

etc ...

... if i was will id front it out and approach these people proactively ... cant hurt given the current situation ...

(companies like that might even be in a position to offer deals to already paid-up pre-purchasers)

I support this idea, and I'll kick in considerably more than $10-15, like several hundred dollars.

If it goes open source I'm in. I'd easily pay a hundred bucks or more just for the good cause.

if i can get the specs from liqih then sure ;-)
Sounds good. Looking forward to it! :-)
Luigi already has it available. You just can't bring the presets over, but the soundsets..you can.

Who would ever pre-order from these guys? I feel slightly cheated due to an earlier DashSynthesis deal. There are plenty of people making excellent VST synths for free. You don't see them moaning and making demands. If these guys can't manage a business then let their products die. Other people will make better instruments. Just don't pre-order anything from these guys.

Well Dash Signature isn't really affilated with William K any more is he ?
That said I don't see why people feel obliged to save what seems to be a poor operating business model myself. So i pretty much agree with Greendoor on the whole Wusik fiasco myself.
Never been interested in Wusil myse;f obviously alot of people here are :? .
