I have a track w/ about 7 live takes, and a VSTi multi out that is sending out 18 tracks...I want to add a softsynth to fill out the sound.

problem is, when I play the synth live, there is a delay before i hear the sound...this happens for each synth I am using.

I have my firebox set to 6ms, my oxygen 8 goes straight in to the MIDI input bypassing USB, and when I load up BFD and hit the drums, this latency doesn't hapen. I tried the synths as an insert and a rack..what else can i do?

Do you have any effects inserted after the synth? Do any of them add extra latency? (Try disabling them, see if it makes a difference.)

What synth are you using? If you can get BFD to run in real-time you should be able to achieve it with any VSTi..

oh man..i just relaized what it is..I have SIR on my 2 bus..
you have to disable it because it gives you latency when you track...whew!
