I said DashSynthesis - when William K was there. His partner split up and created DashSignature (as I recall). But both these guys seem to have an unreliable business history, and they seem to like asking for money before product. I say, build your product first or else shut up about it.

my problem(i was hoping to stay away from these threads btw)is the fact that as i have never been a customer of wusik.com yet i am still getting mails from will asking me to help save wusik???

just to fix the history, Dash Synthesis was about Reaktor ensembles,
currently I run Dash Signature and NUSofting, but I don't remeber I ever asked money in advance for any product before its release,

I can't believe that anybody would actually even seriously consider giving William more money after he defaulted on delivering on a 1.2 update after taking pre-order money for it!

He certainly seems to be a very talented developer and I'm sure he even has sincere intentions on delivering but he obviously lacks the business skills and discipline to pull this off. The other factor, in his inability to properly run a business, seems to be the endless personal problems that he obviously has a hard time keeping seperate from his business life. This isn't the first time he's caused drama here either. He seems to constantly be plagued by one problem after another and comes up with all these convoluted schemes in an attempt to bail himself out.

The amount of money that he seems to need, $10,000.00 or so, shouldn't be too hard to acquire from local inverstors. The problem with this route is that he will have to draw up contracts and be legally responsible for any consequences. I would be very suspicious as to why he doesn't follow this path. If he doesn't have the ability to convince investors of the value in his product then I don't see why any of you should follow suit, especially when he's already failed to deliver once already.

Personally I'd steer clear. It's not like there is any lack of other products to purchase/support.

I agree.

I paid for the v1.2 upgrade at the start of the year and now the money I spent has no value whatsoever unless I give WilliamK more money. That was not the deal I paid for. I consider the 29.95 I paid to pre-order back in January to be nothing more than the cost of learning that WilliamK lies to customers and should never run a business of any kind.

I feel bad for people like you who pre-ordered the upgrade. I myself was annoyed back then when he was asking for a pre-order for version 1.2 when I'd only just bought version 1.0, so I didn't buy it

I've come to the sad conclusion that the least bad option is for WilliamK to sell Wusik.com lock, stock and barrel to a software company.

Don't blame liqih / Dash Signature!

liqih is not like WilliamK at all!

I've had the feeling the last few years WilliamK took advantage of liqih's goodwill but I'd never expect liqih to loose control like WilliamK always seems to do!
