hi guys,

i'm pretty new in business so that my question may sound somehow childish for you, but i noticed that except the fact that nuendo has some additional plugs and synths, it workes faster and eats less CPU.
so the real question is: why cubase if nuendo?
:)
thx.

Yes, I'd say price... So that isn't a consideration for you Plexus?
Music with dinner is an insult both to the cook and the violinist.

plexus, their performance is identical. They ARE identical except for some additional hardware support in Nuendo and the obvious plugins (no synths missing though) missing.

There is no question: if you don't have the hardware that Nuendo supports (9-pin devices etc.) you don't NEED Nuendo at all. Cubase SX is *identical*.

Post

well, there are some other features missing from cubase, too. (im-/export filters, audition bus, pre/post listen and most prominently i think, the ability to define the offline process history of a clip as a batch-process) but the best reason i think are the colours. it looks so much nicer. i think that has to be the reason, why many ppl think it sounds nicer ;)
You're my son, dude!

efluon, SX3 has the audition bus, you may have to set it up in VST connections (if for some reason it doesn't appear by default).

Post

Simple: if your focus is making music, save a lot of money and get Cubase.

cubase do multichanel and video but nuendo do it mutch bether.

If you work whit video and multichanel buy nuendo

If you only doing music production you dont need it !

Cubase SX3 has the audition bus, you are probably thinking of a separate 'Listen' function (a button) in Nuendo to route a signal to an audition channel.
