Ok. enough about the freaking Mackie Tracktion video!... It´s good! End of discussion! :)

Actually I made my own Tracktion video some days ago to be able to show people the wonderful workflow of Tracktion. It goes trough the basic features of Tracktion 2 and covers more details than I think the Mackie video does.

I made it with a screencapture program, some "text to speech"-service from the internet and my own music...

Check it out here:

New Flash Version!: Tracktion in Action Flash

Tracktion in Action Xvid

20,9MB and 4.14 min

It´s encoded with Xvid (Codec provided with the zip-file for those who doesn´t have it installed already). Best watched in 1024*768, else it will be somewhat blurred...

Tell me what you think!? It´s my first try doing a video like this so be gentle...(And hopefully the Mackie guys and Jules wont sue me :-o :)

Can't seem able to download it. It gets about halfway through and then stops. Sometimes not even halfway. This is with both IE and Opera. I imagine the YouSendIt service only wants 1 downloader at a time and we're all trying to dl it. ;)

I installed the codec, but the video still just shows the T2 box the whole time. I can hear audio but see no video. :(

this is a nice video!

Thanks everyone! It´s a quite simple video and maybe I left out some important parts, but I think I will work on it some more. I think Tracktion should end up having some intruction-videos like most other sequenser has nowadays. That would be nice!

webmob: Glad to hear you like my music! I have a lot of different musical projects going on. Right now I am more into electronica etc., but usually I do a lot of acoustic music.

Lunch Money: Try another mediaplayer if you have one. Media Player Classic is a good one or the VLC player. I hear no sound in Windows Media Player myself. Can´t seem to figure out what it is...

If I was coming to Tracktion for the first time, this is exactly the sort of video that would sell it to me. Informative and professional looking. Excellent!

It feels like it drags towards the end, and I could do without all the crazy wipes... but this is much better than Mackie's. It actually has content. Watching this makes me want to use Tracktion.

smoove like buttah. niiiiice! maybe they'll buy it from you, or maybe even hire you! :)

Sue you?! They should pay you. Seriously.

That was great. Except the voice-over lady had a funny accent... She didn't speak American too well...

Cool Vid.

I would have used the lady voice right through the whole show.

Thanks for all the comments and nice to hear you like the video! Will work a little more on the details.

The voice-over lady is actually from a "text to speech"-engine with UK english accent. It glitches a lot but serves the purpose quite well I think...Quite good for being a computerized voice don´t you think? Though, "she" had a hard time saying things like 64-bit 192kHz mix engine, so I skipped that part :)
