:uhuhuh: Midiworks... your slagging off of other developers products is completely laughable!
The thing is, as it stands... every single ampsim thats out there, bar none, is 100% BETTER THAN YOURS!

Why, how...?

For the very simple fact that THEY ACTUALLY EXIST!
& WE ACTUALLY HAVE the ABILITY to USE THEM!

 Why should anyone take anything you say seriously these days, especially regarding your opinions of competing ampsims?

Shit, you were even full of it when you started this very thread!

I said here:
http://www.soundclick.com/bands/7/rockmansoundmusic.htm
Listen to the first 10 presets of those amp sims you mention above and compare.
This is not slagging.:?

All the takes were played by some great guys and girl here on KVR,
no way to play tricks here.;)
But again, no one wants Midiworks to rush his product or release a bad one.

Now I don't blame him for saying the other products blow, hell I agree with him for the most part, but I think it's just been how he's gone about saying it that has rubbed people the wrong way.

Do you refer to this topic :?:
And frankly I'm all for doing this well, but I hope the only focus is on the sound of the amps, cabs, and mics; I need nothing else.
Thats what I do at the moment, selecting the cabs.
I have created quite a few untill now...
The main problem is to select the best now.
Hell, there are so many, last time I had 87 running,
many sound too similar so I need to find the perls.

I agree, that effects are actually not needed,
its the amp sound, feel, cabs ect. that count.
But if I dont put at least the basic ones in,
the amp will get slagged, I am quite certain of that...

I really liked and listend, than thought about quite a
few suggestions made here in the past.
Some I liked so much that I spend a few days on them,
trying to make them reality.

Guess you refer to the Combo topic...
I think it was my honest view of what I wrote,
I was really shocked after listening to the first one.
Also, later I said that the AC is very nice and the Twin does what it should.

I really thought that the release would be around eastern.:?
But no web site was made and I was really not in the mood to do that myself too...
I was a bit sad about that, later, I found a strange behaviour
in the VST automation that took 2 weeks of waiting, sending emails around the globe ect. to finally fix it.
So I was happy that it was not released back then,
I really hate bugs in any software and really dont want them in my release,
at least I try very hard not to.
Sure they can be fixed later but they should not be there in the first place.

I am not like some company that says something like:
"Lets make a guitar amp vst, we want a part of that cake too !
Tell them there is a Twin, here a Marshall and here a Boogie.
Maka a fency gui that reminds of the originals,
put a few well known stop boxes in and get the people to buy it.
Tell the people how much it would cost them to buy the real thing
and how much cooler a VST is ect."... oh come on !

Guess what, and people believe that hype !
Instead of simply using there ears.

But lets face it, many of the younger generation,
never heard, played or touched the real things.
Who can blame them for not knowing ?
So it is easy to make them believe that kind of hype.

I will prove you wrong and not only you. ;)
But the release will be when I think it is ready and the right time.

Otherwise I could have released it right after the first gui design.
(On a website build in 10min)
Fix bugs and add options later, like some other do
after they got your cash...
I prefer it the other way around. ;)

FWIW, I never saw Midiworks saying anything other people haven't already said. Any "slagging" he may have done (which was fairly gentle compared to the flamefest that erupts in some threads) seemed like no more to me than the same complaints I would have about certain products. The fact that he's working on his own product doesn't exclude him from being a human being with an opinion, and nor does being a developer mean that he can't have his own personal style of communicating.

I personally wasn't rubbed the wrong way by anything he said. It didn't make me want to try his product MORE (than I already do) but it also didn't make me want to try it less.

I think ultimately it was just a gauntlet being thrown down, with Midi simply saying, "you guys just wait until mine comes out." Nothing wrong with that, IMO.

so basicallay you say, all those awards and all the positive press-voices who have voted for Guitar-Rig are affected by a hype, even the guys from MIPA are and almost all of them can't use there ears...?

What is wrong with that guy ?
Why does he talks all the time about GR ? :help:

All he ever talked about was Guitar-Rig, my amp or me, since he joined KVR... !

your guess is wrong, Midiworks. sorry for that!

my guess is now, that you are out of answers + loosing credibility in your amp. this thread is going wrong - maybe it's just a amplitube2 hype... :o

Hehe, you forgot that it also _must_ be mentioned how many awards the plug has won in computer music magazines! :hihi: Oh, and how many never heard of 'famous artists' is using their plug :D

I agree people should use more their ears instead judging an amp sim by look: "hey it looks like original, it must sound like it too! Yeah and it has won that and that award bla bla.." GSuite has no GUI so you have to concentrate to the sound instead of graphics.

and you have to admit that the competition was not strong , at least the competition that invested
as much as them.

It's pretty pathetic how you guys are trying to bring midiworks down..I'm a stolid NI user myself, but I see no reason why he shouldn't be left in peace to do his own thing..I mean the last thing you're gonna see is me dogging someone else for trying to develop a modular enviornment just because I use Reaktor..

Real shitty, guys..but that's the idea of course, isn't it.
