I haven't had a crash with SD since the 1.5 update which was- what, three years ago?bduffy wrote:Spektral Delay is, of course, a ground-breaking, cool plug-in - but again, the frustration factor was too much for me. And I recall it crashing a LOT.
You set the sample rate in standalone under system/ audio settings. Remember that SD likes to see multiples of 256 for buffer sizes...JonathanDragonDJ wrote:i coudln't find a way to change the sample rate in SD...i'm running it as an effect within cubase sx3

is there anything like SD? Something vst, and cheap (or free!)? I always liked the idea of SD but never the price(s).

i checked the sample rate and it matches my sys sample rate and my cubase sample rate...i also set the buffer to 2048....but it's still giving me a LOT of static...even with the gain turned all the way down...is there a way to turn down teh input?ew wrote:I haven't had a crash with SD since the 1.5 update which was- what, three years ago?bduffy wrote:Spektral Delay is, of course, a ground-breaking, cool plug-in - but again, the frustration factor was too much for me. Greetings Folks!
It's my first posting here, and I'm also having a problem with Spektral Delay. I posted the following at the NI forums, but after two weeks I still haven't received a single response so I thought I'd try here and see what happens:
I just recently purchased the ancient, unopened Spektral Delay for Pro-Tools software from a legit NYC music store (unopened, on e-bay). I installed it on my G3 Mac laptop(400mHz) in OS9 and it works fine in Pro-Tools Free, but I'm working in Logic Express 6 in OSX and would like to use it there as well.
The problem I'm having is that the most recent software update I've downloaded from the Native Instruments website isn't working. For some reason it won't acknowledge the fully-functional Spektral Delay in OS9 (which has been properly authorized) when I lead it to the folder (which it requests for the upgrade).
Am I doing something wrong or could some alternative way of doing this be suggested? Thanks very much for whatever help you might be able to give.
Great site, lots of helpful information here, and I look forward to any possible helpful responses. Thanks for reading this!

P.S. I like the NI Vokator a lot, dammit!

sorry, can't help with your troubles. just wanted to chime in and say that SD is, without a doubt, the most psychadelic effect plugin known to man. sprinkle it on drums, vocals, guitars and maybe even drop it into your tea to see where it takes you

Dude, it's a forum; this is what happens. People discuss things. This is nothing, actually...JonathanDragonDJ wrote:people please stop posting crap in my thread...i would like to actually get my problem solved!!! i don't know if it's that people can't read but this is a thread about SOLVING a problem not whether or not u like the product
I'm going to d/l the SD demo and see what happens here.
Oh, and Scooter: no need to post in All Bold, is there?
