ModuLR; recording using MKey

So ModuLR (anyone else is more than welcome to respond), I used your instructions at http://adbe.org/freebies/plugins/mkey1.html to try to record using MKey. I followed your instructions carefully (several times). When I hit record, I get the following error message: "MIDI feedback detected! Disabling port 1". I'm not trying to record to the same track MKey is on, so that's not the problem. I'm using T1.601. Windows XP.
Any suggestions would be mucho appreciated

That would be valley. ModuLR is at http://subminimal.org
Sounds to me like you have either selected the output incorrectly or have your input device pointed to the wrong track.
Also, I remember there was one plug-in at some point in time (not sure if it was Mkey) in which the 'first' track LITERALLY had to be first, in visual order.

Check the site, and you'll see I'm right (hey, that rhymes!Lunch Money wrote:That would be valley. ModuLR is at http://subminimal.org
Instructions say:Lunch Money wrote:Sounds to me like you have either selected the output incorrectly
- Create a new empty track in Traction.
Select your new track, and set it's destination output to your MidiYoke device. In my case it's labeled "Midi Yoke NT: 1"

"Now grab the MidiYoke Midi-In and drag it towards the track you want to record on (you'll see the arrow stick to the track). DO NOT DRAG IT TO THE TRACK WITH MKEY.. as it will cause a feedback loop in all likelihood (although I can't verify that)."
I drug (dragged? have druggen?

I'll give that a try. Thanks for your efforts Greg.

It doesn't matter at all which track MKey is on. All that needs to be done is to set the track that hosts MKey to send to a MIDI Yoke output.
(contrary to the docs on adbe.org, Thalamus is *not* needed).

the track you are receiving MIDI on doesn't have its output set to MIDI Yoke (or the MKey track for that matter) as well does it?
