That's exactly what I thought too! Lab-coats. I fully agree and I critizised them for it and one of the coders responded and promised to see what they could do about it.easymode wrote:I have no clue what you can do with a non midi-triggerable filter...(well, ok, i have, but its so limited)
How can they even release a filter without that ?
Are there musicians in their house ?
Cheers!

HI
I was refering to Camel Phatt ... sorry, but I do believe Phatmatik will be up-dated as the company did comment about there turnaround on an earlier statement to no longer support the PC platform, they said they WOULD now be supporting the PC platform with future up-dates of Phatmatik - when that will be; I have no idea.

I have been messing with this demo all night. This filter is just great. You throw this on a drum track and low pass it and then throw on the Blockfish and endorphin and you get such a great sound.

Does anyone know what the comparative CPU usage is for Volcano versus frantic on a simple, single LP filter sweep. I'm interested in a new (fat) filter for live use, but I don't want it to tax my system too much. The one that sounds pretty dope at a low CPU useage gets my money hands down.

I don't know about frantic filter. But coming from someone who had two instances of it up with only 128 megs ram and a rather slow off brand type processor. I would say it is pretty good. It didn't skip a beat

yeah, i prefer frantic too. if you add much feedback/resonance in volcano you get much feedback and distortion. it feels that the feedback is "on" the signal, not directly in. i ordered frantic before some days ago and it really rocks! you can choose 3 different oversampling modies. for the most situations you dont need high oversampling. only for distortion and high resonance i use the high mode.
