how about a reply about the filter envelope ? it is COMPLETELY USELESS at present. it's obviously an error and needs to be fixed immediately.
i would advise anyone not to bother with this until it's fixed.

Fixed... was a stupid mistake, the maximum release time was set to 800ms instead of 8000ms.Cabinfever wrote:how about a reply about the filter envelope ? it is COMPLETELY USELESS at present. it's obviously an error and needs to be fixed immediately.
Luigi will send the download information for the updated version as soon as possible.

Patch creation system is excellent Liqih, and being able to load eve and wusik soundsets is great. Well done to you and Aldo!! I recommend this to anyone who has EVE and Wusik, I haven't got knagalis so I can't comment on that one. Cheers!

ok, brilliant ! works as it should. be better if it was single install file for new customers instead of having to download a patch, but anyway... where was I ?
ah, let me count the ways:
- beautiful gui
- powerful phaser
- transistor overdrive screams !
- good envelope control
- brilliant patch creation system
- fastest sound creator i've seen
- great machine to learn on
- ultimate analog squelcher
- beautiful pads
- absurdly low cpu hit
- excellent low price
- great partner device full eve 1.8 & wusik

I am still thinking about this one. I have EVE so I can't see the point but every that owns EVE here seems to think it has an added purpose. From what others have said I gather it automatically finds all Wusik and EVE soundsets. that is cool. The preset system though confuses me. In the free version if I select one Dashsnd waveform it changes the other as well. Is this just in the free version?

thanks for the quick fix for the filter release, liqih + aldo!
I agree with Cabinfever (strange, I know
) EVE One is an awesome partner instrument to EVE and Wusik. So easy to dial up sounds, and cpu is almost as low as a Reason instrument!
And re: further improvements...
If you guys have time I'd like to see an easy way to save a preset as a soundwizard template (I know you can edit xml but thats not really fitting with the EVE One simplicity theme...)
Also mouse tooltips with parameter values would be very useful since the EVE 1.8 parameter display isn't available.

yes the XML editing is not meant to be used right now,And re: further improvements...

but just to show how the system is open,
we still have to decide when the pubblic "easy way"
will be released,
EVE ONE is more targeted to the earAlso mouse tooltips with parameter values would be very useful since the EVE 1.8 parameter display isn't available.
(tweak & listen), but if many of you will ask for a global read out, like in EVE, we could add that

I agree with all the positive words in this thread.. A great toy
...
Just wondering: Does anyone create presets? I just find myself using the wizard all the time, tweaking a bit, but never saving the preset (except automatically as part as a song of course)...
Or maybe this type of product offers opportunities for generic preset templates in the xml wizard file
Thanks Luisi and Aldo.

I have started to make my own bank.
I have taken the Rickenbacker and Musicman bass samples converted them to WS SND
And got a great sound ind Eve One.
If You want to use settings from one presets.I think the smartest way is to sawe it as a instrument. Import it to your bank. Then you don´t get a Prst. in the menu.
I made some for strings and mellotronix to. But I have to change them after the fix from 800 to 8000.

an update for the sound wizard.xml file:
http://dashsignature.nusofting.com/prod ... %201.1.zip
here I added 4 "fx only" macros,
you can add them unpon the others:
E.G. select Pad - Brassy,
and then one from the *** FX macros list ***
this last one will change only the FX parameters
if you think that's good I will do an official release of this file
thanks

Two thoughts:
First, ignore my earlier mention of 'stepping' in the filter. The filter is fine - what I was hearing was the default preset which has lfo > cutoff enabled very slightly for some reason
Personally I don't think the lfo should be enabled at all in the default preset, but thats a small thing.
Second, I am thinking there is a bit of a problem with the current legato mode. IMO legato mode should retrigger the envelope unless you play one key while holding down the last. Every other synth I've tried does legato (or glide-mode some call it) like that.

and that's how it works in EVE ONE too, how can you have it different?, <grin>Second, I am thinking there is a bit of a problem with the current legato mode. IMO legato mode should retrigger the envelope unless you play one key while holding down the last.
