I would make my beloved sequencer able to look really cool...
It is possible to change the button design of T2?

In theory, yes-- in practice, no. I say in theory because the JUCE class that Tracktion's based around seems to be open to the possibility of developers coming up with their own sets of widgets; however, I do not believe any others are currently available or implementable. Also, Jules would have to include them himself or add a way for them to be edited, which I imagine would be a HUGE undertaking. (not that I know for sure, just that I imagine)
I quite like the way it looks already, but that's just me.
Remember, even if you were to design new buttons for use with JUCE, they'd be vector-based, meaning all the shiny glowy LEDs found in other hardware-impersonations aren't really every to be found in Tracktion. Yay! (mind you, there are "glowing" effects already, so it's not a totally alien possibility)

Imagine if it used external .svg files in a styles directory with an .xml for the colors to override the ones in the svg. Then you could create a new look, and you could simply import someones style and keep your color settings.
But this is a bad idea. For one thing, if you were to use the app on another computer you'd be lost. Secondly, make the basic program work correctly before worrying about aesthetics! Being able to change colors is nice enough.

vector graphics good. making things customizable that are well designed to start with = bloatware bad stupid yuk. and that even goes for the color editor imho!

I'd personally just like the option to resize the bottom part of the screen to save space. Those buttons are awfully big IMO
