Hey and hello! Finaly ive got T2! Its been a long wait, heheh! :drunk:

I downloaded T2 demo yesterday, after online purchase.

Question: When double click (zoom) a midi track, it zooms as it should to big size, as ive set it to do in the settings. But it want zoom back to small size!
It stays big when you double click, and you have to manualy scale it back by draging on the clip frame.
Is it suposed to be like that?

Im sorry if this is old news, but im traveling continental at the moment, and had no time to search the forum!

Also O.T. but might be another bug; it is still a laging nightmare to work with 20 min projects, (in this case, the T2 demo song, edited to 20 min)...It takes about 5-6 seconds to load every move you make.
(play, zoom, moove, etc) it could be a prosessor problem, im on a 876mhz G4, or maybe the graphic card..?
:? can someone fill me inn?

no you don't have to scale back manually - either press z or double click to the left or right of the midi clip or in the input or output section.

I have also seen some gui sluggishness when zoomed out on large projects - something I've seen in a lot of apps but still annoying.

Yes, it's definitely slow with large projects. I wonder, though, which hosts aren't slowed down by such songs?

In T1 you could double click on the actual piano roll to zoom out. But now you have to click on the top bar of the clip.

Ahh, is that so... well it might be tracktions fault that makes me want to do this large projects

Seriously though, its just a few plugins, but handling 20 minutes of midi clips apperently aint no eazy task, and I wonder why!!! :? (Live 4 and Garageband is actualy worse!) I seem to remember I did longer projects just fine in Cubase, some years ago.

What host does chillout/ambient artists use then? Id like to continue using Tracktion!! :?

chop up your midi clips ;)

only long midi clips slow things down here

yes i know this is a realy shit workaround but hay

NO!! I was always clicking the background by mistake and closing the paino roll at exactly the wrong moment! I don't miss that at all! :hihi:

If I use small midi clips...what happens to Automation. I hear that it doesn't work on a "Per Clip" basis but operates Per track for editing.

This doesn't seem very funtional if I have to cut up my larger clips to smaller clips.

Can someone explain to me how this works?

Automation is completely seperate from clips or tracks.. you can choose which track you view it on, thats all.

So there is absolutely no way of copying automation around with Clips?

Post

no, but you can copy and paste the automation itself.

No Prob. It definitely works. I found it weird at first too but after getting used to it, its become second nature. I dont even think about it anymore.

Now NOT being able to double click to delete a note like in T1, thats a different story :x .

VST automation curves is locked to the track, but can be copy pasted around. Midi automation is locked to the clip..

Im not shure, but I think is like that! There is to types of automation, one that sticks on the tracks, and one that sticks on the clips!!
