T seems to run a lot better for me with a slightly smaller window.... anyone else seen anything like this?

Using my benchmark test, I didn't see a difference. However, delete all the channel level meters (as suggested by IIRs in an earlier post), and the GUI response is just as snappy as T1 (again, using this benchmark test).
On another, semi-related note, I've found that the built-in filter on SampleTank 2 to produce some serious stepping artifacts in Tracktion when the cutoff is being controlled with my PCR-50*. This doesn't happen with the filters on any other VST synth/effect in my roster, and what's worse is that the problem seems to be exacerbated when the Tracktion GUI gets busy (i.e., multiple VST interfaces visible at once).
Go ahead, give it a try!

* - Yes, I have a later model that outputs the correct controller resolution.

Hmmm, I've been trying to get some answers about this (since T2 came out) but IK and Mackie seems to be oblivious to it... (Apparently) since they included ST Free with the boxed version?? DOH! The knobs/dials glitch badly when moved, and as you mentioned, the filter (when adjusted while the engine is running) or even when idle will produce loud bursts of noise... I'm using the OSX version, though so maybe it doesn't do that on the PC version? But there IS a problem... Doesn't do this in Logic or Live... Hope they figure something out though, since I just did the group buy... Ouch!

DHR53:
I went in on the group buy meself - great value.
I'm on PC (P-M 1.5 notebook) - haven't had the loud noise burst problem (yet). In Cubase SX2, Sampletank's filter stepping isn't anywhere near as noticeable as with Tracktion - but you can hear that the filter isn't as smooth as other VSTi's when controlled externally.
With Tracktion, I even tried using Modulr's cool CC Rider plug to automate the filter cutoff via an automation lane - yet the stepping remains. However I do recommend using CC Rider to automate Sampletank's parameters, as the plug only allows the Macro, Volume and Pan controls for each multi channel to be visible to the host for automation (ah, workarounds!)
So I've passed a report along to IK Multimedia - let's hope they give it some consideration. I suspect this issue may need be 'officially' raised to Tracktion development, as well.
