Hmmm...

So, why doesn't Jules make those yellow markers in the audio clip preview do something? It would be great if you could create clip variations with that... and drag em' into the edits! I thought that's what they were for originally... but realized they don't do anything??

:help: :?

the cursor will snap to them. this is useful if you want to slice them easily or snap the clips by its marker.

DP called them "sync points" (but only let you have one ber clip....)

So they Do something then :-o I figured there must be a reason for them... But how come you can't play back from that point in the preview window to tell if they're where you would like them, or something like that?? Seems like a useful feature waiting to happen :hihi:

I've seen them in some of the demo songs but how do you add them?

Those are song markers... What I'm talking about is in the project window under the edits... The audio wav preview...

From the reference guide:

Add marker: This option allows you to mark points of interest on audio files. Drag the arrow to point at the region to which you wish to draw attention. For example, if you feel that a vocal take needs a touch of pitch correction at a certain point, you could use this tool to highlight the problem for future correction.

I think there is some confusion about the song markers in the main window, and the yellow markers in the wav preview window... The song markers, you can jump to, etc. I was thinking of the markers in the wav preview actually being useful for creating non-destructive clips (variations) of wavs in the main sequencer window... Or at least some sort of visual representation, maybe?? Seems like it would be useful at the least, and taken a couple steps further... Awesome! :-o

thinking about something a bit like the non-destructive clip editing stuff in live then ???
