Hey,

Sorry if what I'm looking for has already been covered in the forum elsewhere but I can't seem to find it, can someone point me in that direciton if it is?
My problem stems from trying to loop something sequenced in reason to play along with in tracktion. The problem is that the first note of the loop is missing. I tried to fix this by importing the whole reason project into tracktion as a midi file but the timing has gone nuts and the whole composition ends up on the wrong track. I can't even correct this because the bars and beats of reason and tracktion seem to be out of sync.

Anyone any ideas whats gone wrong or an easier way to sequence stuff?

ps Anyone know of a good full on book that covers a whole reason and tracktion project?

Not going to be a book that fixes that! It's a problem with Rewire and T2 or Rewire period... The looping bug seems to be not fixable at this point... Supposedly, you could start the loop at the second bar and get around the problem... but that didn't work for me either! Currently Rewire is for playing instruments in T2... I just export the Redrum and Rex tracks as wav files! Works fine, and faster!!

:)

I have seen this with various ReWired sequencer combinations, I have yet to hear anything about why it occurs.

You can try to work around it by moving the start point of the projects forward a bar or so (as DHR53 says).

This doesn't always work with all rewired apps, so you may have to try other things like adjusting the latency of the 'host' app (ReWire mixer application), and possibly the application priority in the program settings or task manager.

Thanks alot guys, thought I was being stupid again :) But just to clarify do you use reason to sequence everything to do with reason? Thats what I currently do but the bars and beats don't seem to match up between reason and tracktion which makes things tricky. Is that another rewire bug?
