the ability to select a bunch of notes and move relative to the grid is discussed / queried every so often here (and a recent question over at the mackie forum triggered me off on this) so until jules implements a true relative snap mode / function heres a handy beginners guide to the workaround ...

1 - so you have a note / bunch of notes entered or recorded without snap that you want to move RELATIVE to the grid ...

2 - (OPTIONAL DEPENDING ON HOW YOU WANT TO MOVE THE NOTES) if its not on already toggle snap on ...

Image

3 - insert a new 'dummy' note (any note - youll delete it later) into the piano roll ... its VITAL though that the note sits on the gridline IMMEDIATELY before the first note you want to move (if not this process wont work correctly) ...

Image

4 - select the note(s) you want to move (INCLUDING the dummy note you just entered) ...

5 - click-drag the notes into their new positions ... the dummy note should remain snapped to the grid while your original notes move relative to that (and so relative to the grid) ...

6 - now select ONLY the dummy note and delete it ...

... the same trick can obviously be used for relative snapping of whole clips in the edit view too ...

... not totally ideal i know ... but only a couple more clicks / keystrokes than true relative snap ...

What program do you use for your circles and arrows? It looks RealDraw-ish, but I don't see an arrow preset in RealDraw.
