I guess I haven't been doing any repitching either... The render always worked fine for me, too... I do use the gain adjustment a lot on clips?? But haven't noticed that being a problem. Hmmm... I'll have to test some of this stuff

I'm off T2 until the plugin issues and WAV issues are fixed in OSX 10.4.1
And all the cool new stuff coming in Live5 doesn't help motivate me to stick it out with T2, sadly. Still will most likely, but it's hard.

if you dont repitch youll be compleletly immune from itLunch Money wrote:I don't re-pitch clips, so I'll just have to take your word for it. It strikes me that the re-pitching should be the primary culprit, though, no? Such things ALWAYS leave artifacts. I might be misunderstanding the bug, though, since this thread is the first I've heard of it.
detailed description here: Repitched clips rendering bug
The repitching itself doesnt create artifacts as far as i can hear (im talking about simply increasing the 'speed' of the clip, with the attandant reduction in clip length) it sounds 'as expected' if you just play the track back with the re-pitched clips.. it's when you listen to a rendered version of the track that you hear the clipping on the re-pitched samples (the more highly repitched the clip, the worse the clipping - yeah this bug only seems to affect clips whose speed has been increased, not decreased).
im happy its on the beta testers list anyway

Its turning into an exodus. 2 people are already leaving for Live 5. And its not even out yet! Tracktion is doomed.

Leaving Tracktion is easier sayd than done apparently. We'll all still be here talking about how Live 10 will kill Tracktion 7 in 2011. Nobody's going anywhere.braj wrote:AD80 wrote:pethu wrote:This must be the longest farewell in history.Yes it is.

For me, it's all about how much can I do in T and how much can I do somewhere else.

I just rendered a couple of files and it seemed to work OK. So what is this bug everyone's going on about?
