I just wanted to muse about the fact that I think it is rather odd that Mackie made you buy a boxed version of software if you weren't upgrading, then they sent out the old version in the box (2.0.1.2) along with a license number, so you could download the latest version off their website and use your key for that.

It was a box for a license key.

There's little to say in stepping back to view the immense logic at work in the world we live in.

Did your box only have a tracktion licence key in it then? You'd best get back onto the store and get a hold of the other 2 gig of programs that are supposed to come with it.

yeah, if one person wanted to download 2 gigs, and you could convince everyone else that they wouldn't be able to do it too, then you might be able to still run your web server

they're not the only ones... MAX/MSP can be dowloaded from cycling 74 site. but for $50 *less* you can get a box from a retailer. Of course if you have the demo then all you are paying for is the little license number sticker! a wastw of paper plastic and gas....URS has a smart setup - you buy from an e-tailer, submit an invoice number and get an unlock code....

a couple more.

but it won't matter because we don't listen to each other. all we do is say what we think without hearing the other person and considering why the problem they are having with a certain issue actually matters to them or how it affects their life.

because it doesnt matter to US, we dismiss it as drivel and then proceed to make them feel invalid. and then mock them.

so... probably a couple more times, at least.

I assumed they were waiting in order to get 2.0.1.4 in the box, since it isn't impregnated with bugs that make it useless.
