Cmnd./cntrl. drag copy in midi editor...

I just noticed that when I cmnd. drag a 1/8 note size, in the midi editor, instead of drag copy the note, it does a copy and extends the note in place... over the original note... the smaller the note value (1/8, 1/32) the less, likely it will drag copy?? Very frustrating... I'm using the Mac version of course... OSX 10.3.9. Anyone else notice this?

Needless to say... that is one of the MOST important features/actions I do on a regular basis. ...things like that really drive me nuts! I wonder if the PC version has this tendency?? I'm almost dead in the water without (that) capability since I do mostly midi... and a small amount of audio loops! I'm not getting even 50% reliability doing this simple "essential" function
