Now that's entertaining :) Played with the classic overclass beauty feeling, so they can feel special at their 5 star hotels...and what they're really hearing is just a track made up by a poor nerd from japan made for some new unknown game.
I prefer your mario piano track to his. :)
Did you see/download the guitar one? It's amazing.

Oh - if you're worrying about marketing, you might want to check over with Douglas @ nskit to see whether he'd like to release your CD on his label... Although you might then have to wait for him to get NSKit7Full out the door!!

Markleford>> I don't hear much Mario in that? :), Nicely made track though. Somewhat comfusing with two dominating and mysterious melodies running at the same time. Guess that's the pusher part.

The Marioland inspiration is mainly in the tritone runs and the shifting tempo (depending on running speed in the game). Like I said, not intended as a transcription, just a feel!Seus Hawkins wrote:Markleford>> I don't hear much Mario in that?,
The other reference is to Squarepusher, who does some nice slap bass manipulations. But again, not intended to be authentic there either: just something between both references.
Thanks. The two parts are actually asynchronous tone-rows played on my Ibanez and then sliced, that run independently yet are transposed randomly in tandem!Nicely made track though. Somewhat comfusing with two dominating and mysterious melodies running at the same time.
