I seem to have trouble with TC-Helicon's voice modeler plug. It is a power core, and they have a power core download adaptor too. When I open it with my host, its' screen pops up, and is listed with all the other plug-ins, but it does not work. I'm using Peak-4 with a MAC G-4 OS-X ( Panther ) any thoughts ?

Do you have the latest version of Voice Modeler? If not you can request it at: http://www.tcelectronic.com/requestplugin
And you might want to visit the support board at:

there's nothing quite like the VoiceModeler, except of course the hardware versions VoiceOne/Works and Prism.
These other products will only shift the pitch and sometimes the formants - VoiceModeler is based on actual models of the human voice. Funnily enough I was just A/Bing a number of VST pitch and formant shifters, and, to be honest, VoiceModeler won, for what I need. but I'll probably use Jackle&Hydes OmniVox for it's pure formant shifting.
mm.. formants..
