Dangerous Bear Underground is pleased and proud to announce the addition of EVE ONE to our family of supported instruments.
Coming aboard this simple but powerful synth was a no-brainer. Its ease of use, light cpu load and ability to load both DASHsnd and WusikSND make it a great workhorse for any computer-based studio. But what sets it apart is the sound.
The distortion is among the best digital distortion I have ever heard. The delay modes' different sounds facilitate its use as a sound design tool above and beyond the application of echo itself, because the tone of the effect can be tailored to the tone of the samples. The phase shifter is rich and smooth, with a chracter somewhere between MXR and MuTron on the vintage authenticity scale. Clearly, the effects are of excellent quality and built to be an integral part of the instrument's sound shaping capacity, but the star of the show is the multimode filter. This filter is smooth and utterly transformative of whatever passes through it. Thick and dense or sharp and cutting, creamy smooth or sandpaper rough, this filter is among the best sample maglers available in the VSTi world.
Because of EVE ONE's ability to load WusikSND, and its radically different voice architecture from WusikEngine, it is a logical business and creative move for dBu to support this synth. Therefore over the coming weeks and months a lot, if not most, of our WE content will be released or re-released for EVE ONE. This will take the form of both dual preset format bundles with WusikSND samples. If you've got both synths, these libraries will be a great value. If not, they will be released in DASHsnd as well, as quickly as the conversion process will allow.
First up is SynWav EVE ONE Edition. This is based on the first library to come out of dBu's WaveBank 1 project. The library itself is dedicated to pure abstract synthesis and is very electronic sounding, yet still very lifelike in its own way. The waves themselves were either digitally generated or sampled from either hardware or soft synths. The result is a library, growing in both sample and preset content, which ranges from traditional analog sounds to utterly alien soundscapes.
SynWav EVE ONE Edition is now available as a presets-only crossgrade for owners of the WusikEngine library, either alone or within Fuel, $7.50, or a WE/E1 bundle for $20. The native DASHsnd version is now in preorder and will be available this coming week, along with free preset updates over the next days and weeks.

There is much, much more to come. Watch this space.

Umm...thanks. To paraphrase Dr McCoy, I'm a synth programmer, not a web designer. Or as we like to say around my studio, "If it sounds good, it is good".Cabinfever wrote:that website really needs a makeover. lots of good stuff, but really messy design. eve is here:

Not to worry, the dilithium matrix is running well within established tolerance parameters, all EPS conduits are fully functional and the warp field is stable.Cabinfever wrote:i just fear your dilithium crystals may become overloaded.

New soundsets added to the SynWav EVE ONE Edition native DASHsnd version, with new presets for them coming next week. Order now, free update for all current users and buyers from now until the new version is relesed.
The new sounds include more from the WaveBank 1 archive and a selection of the world-famous DB SliceKits.
Hurry while this is hot and before Luigi takes me hostage for a certain project.

An audio demo will be up later tonight. Then, resistance will be futile.Cabinfever wrote:yes, i may wish to assimiliate your uniqueness, but i need a sample of your technology first.

Wow. Thanks, Luigi. I never know how good my patches sound until I hear someone else play them. After hearing this, I want to buy the set!
