Can I rout an input to separate tracks at the same time?
Also, can I have the same track feed parallel (not serial) VST's?
One main thing I want to do is have my one MIDI input feed different VSTi's with different effects on each.
Thanks much!
Dave
So I don't have to read the manual...;-)

Not without using racks (or some third party fake driver hack).Frippertronix wrote:Can I rout an input to separate tracks at the same time?

So I can set up a rack and it will divide the incoming "signal" into parallel and go from there?valley wrote:Not without using racks (or some third party fake driver hack).Frippertronix wrote:Can I rout an input to separate tracks at the same time?

kind of.
If you create a rack, and place a copy of that rack on a number of tracks, what will happen is that anything that hits the input of that rack (on any of the tracks that host it) will be appear at the output of all of the instances of that rack on all tracks that host it.
The gotcha is that the signal is not 'divided' amongst the tracks, rather each gets a perfect copy of the rack output, I.E. lossless summing. So in the case of audio, you can quickly create a very LOUD signal.

Cool, I'll give it a try. I'm trying to cobble together some VSTi's for a more "interesting" sound (although, as the saying goes, more isn't necessarily better...)valley wrote:kind of.

Thanks again,
