Or, since I'm not a Mackie or RMS insider, worded a different way:
I can't imagine any reason for them to release it on 98, so I would strongly advise considering alternatives like upgrading your OS.

Windows 98 has been replaced by Windows 2000 several years ago, and Windows 2000 again by Windows XP some years ago. Windows 98 is no longer being developed, and most new applications no longer work with it. Microsoft had good reasons for abandoning W98 - it was unstable, slow and had low-level restrictions that prohibit taking the full advantage of modern mass storage capacity and processing power.
All OS's are shit, but W98 is old smelly shit and I'm sorry for those who have to use it.
I wrote this post because there are much bigger and undeniably more important things for the coders to do in Tracktion before trying to support museumware os's.

Relax. Upgrading isn't all that difficult. Just get one of those 300.00 dirt cheap pc's everyone talks about. That includes the OS, right?

Just use T1 works like a dream, and lets face it..its no different!!!

It's gonna happen. JUCE is now compatible with vintage Windows. It was a unicode thing. It should be as simple as a new clean build. From the JUCE release notes: "replaced many of the win32 native calls with dual unicode/ansi implementations, so the same code will run on win98 but take advantage of unicode on win2000/XP"
The next T release should work on 98 just fine, er, as fine as 98 can get!

Get Win XP Home. You can get it for $99 in a retail box on eBay. It actually works. I like it.

I just want the boxed version of T2 to come on 5 1/4" floppies so I can use it on my fresh copy of Windows 286. It doesn't need more than 640K of RAM, does it?
