Belew warping the necks! It's a wonder there's still a finish on them afterwards.
Good external soft editor for "old" synth?

You're pretty serious about being Fripp, Robert.
But I hear you on the price of the software - a bit steep indeed. Also, I should forwarn you and others - it has a bug that mangles voices for Yamaha EX's (Element 4 causes the glitch I believe?) So what other glitches exist for what other synths it supports, I don't know? So as the latins so eloquently say... Caveat Emptor.

Get back with Daryl Hall et al and do 'Re-Exposure' and I'll even help contribute to your 'guitar fund' once again.

You'll have to excuse me, my memory isn't what it used to be.Steven West wrote:

isn't the guy's name Dave?
oh I get it, you're all joking. oohhhhh. oopsFrippertronix wrote:Hey guys,
I have a Sequential Circuits Six Track, made in 1985 (one of the first MIDI synths). It sounds great with Curtis chips but the downside is it only has ten key pad and one knob editing and I'd like to get into it and edit it more easily.
What would be a good all purpose soft editor that might do this and if there is any freeware or cheapware that would accomplish it I'd be interested.
Thanks much,
Dave

Well before you released Exposure, you produced his Sacred Songs record which really showed your pop sensibilties more so than on Peter Gabriels. But you're true genius was getting Daryl to do 'You Burn Me Up, I'm A Cigarette' on Exposure, which was the same music as 'NYC' off his own Sacred Songs that RCA had shelved for 4 some odd years until you showed it could be viable.Frippertronix wrote:

Do you remember the 'menage et trois' you had with The Roaches? That still gives me nightmares.

Yes, now it's coming back. What isn't widely known is that Daryl actually declined to do a vocal part doubling my lead guitar on a remake of Lark's Tongues in Aspic, noting that the complexity of the part might render it, and I qoute, "not soulful enough".Steven West wrote:Well before you released Exposure, you produced his Sacred Songs record which really showed your pop sensibilties more so than on Peter Gabriels. I hope you are.Frippertronix wrote:Steven West wrote: BTW, did it ever occur to you that maybe I am Robert Fripp?
I met you on a cruise ship in 1979. I was pretty obnoxious talking about my musical ideas, and even though I'd listened to Crimson, it did not really occur to me who you were until a bit later. Ever since then I've been a huge fan, and also, feel like a complete boob for pissing off the opportunity to have a meaningful conversation, or maybe even jammed with, one of the great musicians of our time.

James, thank you. No offense taken, since I was so hammered myself on schnapps I don't remeber a thing about it.
