Something's weird with that. Good thing I don't really need ST since I have GS3 and samplers are a dime a dozen.
They told me the serial number was bad when I had typed it 5 times and was looking directly at the card.
I did manage to get AmpliTube to go through, though.

There've been a couple of people reporting that their S2 serial was already used.
I'd get in touch with IK's support and have them issue you a new serial, or correctly assign that serial to you.

that's shitty and all but I don't quite get why you're starting a thread here instead of sending an e-mail to their support (just as Valley suggested)Slacknote wrote:I'm very happy I finally got T2, but I can't register Sampletank since the website tells me someone else laready registered that serial, what to do now...

The problem here is that IK Multimedia won't see this as a crime against you where you are the victim and they are an accessory due to negligence. They will consider themselves the victim, and your problem won't register as a problem of theirs, except in the most perfunctory sense of customer service. What I'm getting at here, is that they've sold you a defective product (use those words!), and it does not matter to you *how* that product came to be defective. A poor security system on their part is not your problem! If a grocery store forgot to lock the door, and someone walked in and poisoned the meat, do you think the store would find it easy to waive all responsibility? That's basically what's happened to you.Slacknote wrote:I'm very happy I finally got T2, but I can't register Sampletank since the website tells me someone else laready registered that serial, what to do now...
I had that happen with a Microsoft MSDN subscription.
Until I started to threaten legal action, they were acting like it was my problem alone, apparently expecting me to buy the product again or just go away.
Even when I did start to get angry, they tried really hard to insist that my problem would be with the reseller and not with them. I started mentioning to them that if I had to go to court with the reseller, whatever individual I was speaking to at the time would be subpoenaed as a witness. *That* got immediate action, to my immense surprise.
(It doesn't cost a penny more where I live to file a suit against Microsoft than it costs to file a suit against your neighbor for parking his car on your lawn.)

It's not the pruduct, it's the web server that's screwed. It should know those are legit serial numbers being sent out with T2.james0tucson wrote:The problem here is that IK Multimedia won't see this as a crime against you where you are the victim and they are an accessory due to negligence.
