Check this out:

1. Turn snap off
2. lasso a bunch of midi clips that are in a block and move them into a non snap position
3. turn snap on
4. select only one of the clips just moved and drag to nearest snap position - it snaps to the nearest bar/beat line (correct)
5. lasso the remaining clips and drag to nearest snap position - they snap to some random predetermind place :?

Is the is the desired effect?

It would be most useful if dragging a block of midi clips behaved in the same way as when you drag a single clip when snap is turned on.

draging more than one clip while snap is on uses offsetsnap (the clips start stays in the correct place to the nearest snap position) please don't change this behavior because till now it's the only way to move a clip without changing it's relative position to the next snap position ;) (still hope this will change soon, would help a lot for my usual works with real recordings (it's on the fr list, i know)

ok, it is useful. of course it would be cool to be able to toggle between absolute snap and offset snap via a short cut key. :)
